New York City is home to not just one Chinatown but three. Manhattan Chinatown on Canal Street is the most well-known, and it was the largest Chinatown in the United States until it was outgrown in 2000 by Queens Chinatown on Main Street in Flushing. A smaller Brooklyn Chinatown in Sunset Park is also an important part of New York City’s Chinese community.
