Healey's Late Homer Forces Red-White Series to End in Tie

Niles, Ohio -- Junior Jacke Healey hit a game-tying, two-run blast in the seventh inning, and darkness forced the deciding game of the Youngstown State baseball team's Red-White World Series to end in a 6-6 tie.
Healey cleared the second level of the left-centerfield wall to complete the White Team's rally. The White squad never led, but battled back from 4-1 and 6-4 deficits to tie the score.

Niles, Ohio -- Junior college transfer Greg Dissinger hit a two-run homer, and fellow JUCO newcomer Jacke Healey had three hits to lead the White Team to a 6-5 victory in game one of Youngstown State's Fall World Series on Sunday.
John Koehnlein added three hits for the White squad to offset two Jason Reitenbach homers for the Red team.
Release Baseball to Conclude Fall Season with Red-White World Series

Youngstown -- The Youngstown State baseball team will conclude its fall practice season with the Red-White World Series, which begins Sunday morning at Eastwood Field.
The World Series will be an intra-squad scrimmage and best-of-three format.

Youngstown -- It didn't take long for former Youngstown pitcher Justin Thomas to make his Major League debut.
Hours after being called up to the Seattle Mariners as part of the September roster expansion, Thomas came on to retire the middle of the Texas order in the bottom of the ninth inning on Monday.
