The Football Alumni is a branch of the Penguin Club that helps support the past, current and future football student-athlete. The group also works to keep former players from the long ago past and recent teams in touch. Each year the organization holds a Spaghetti Dinner and Golf Outing in conjunction with the annual Red-White Spring Game. Also, during the football regular season the group gets together with a Tailgate Party before a select home game.

The Football Alumni has also developed a scholarship endowment that is presented to a current Youngstown State football student-athlete prior to each season.
