Follow the Guins on social networks  Kara Cooper Named Second-Team All-Horizon League   
Indianapolis, Ind. -- Youngstown State sophomore Kara Copper was named to the All-Horizon League Second-Team in a vote by the league's soccer coaches, the league office announced on Friday.
Cooper, who is a native of Youngstown, Ohio, ranked second in the Horizon League with eight goals and 0.47 goals per game. She also ranked third with 1.06 points per game and fourth with 18 total points. Release   
Cooper Earns ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 Second-Team   
Youngstown -- Youngstown State sophomore Kara Copper was named to the ESPN the Magazine/College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District IV Second-Team in a vote by the association's sports information directors.Cooper carries a 4.0 cumulative grade-point average in exercise science and is the first YSU soccer player to receive academic all-district laurels. Bowlen, Snyder Leads Soccer to Senior Day Win Over CSU    
Youngstown -- Senior Jodi Bowlen scored her first goal of the season and classmate Mariah Snyder set the YSU career shutouts record as the Youngstown State soccer team defeated Cleveland State, 1-0, on Senior Day on Sunday afternoon at Stambaugh Stadium.
The Penguins improve to 4-10-3 overall and 1-6-1 in the Horizon League while Cleveland State falls to 3-14-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the league. Release | Stats   
Wright State Topples Soccer, 2-0, at Stambaugh   
Youngstown -- Wright State scored twice early in the second half to knock off the Youngstown State soccer team, 2-0, on Friday afternoon at Stambaugh Stadium.
The Penguins fall to 3-10-3 overall and 0-6-1 in the Horizon League while Wright State improves to 10-6-2 overall and 5-2 in the league. Release | Stats   
Soccer Celebrates Seniors, Closes Out Regular Season   
The Youngstown State soccer team (3-9-3, 0-5-1 Horizon League) closes out the regular season with two home matches this weekend and will honor its six seniors on Senior Day on Sunday. The Penguins host Wright State, Friday, Oct. 23, at 4 p.m. and Cleveland State, Sunday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. Both matches will be held at Stambaugh Stadium. Release | Live Coverage
